Front derailleurs / Front shifts

The front drivetrain or front derailleurs are the components of the bicycles of more than one chainring that allow the fit between chainrings, during the pedaling, through the shifting levers incorporated in the handlebar of or grip of the Bike.

Front derailleurs / Front shifts

In CoreBicycle you will find a wide variety of change diverters, for example:

  • Front derailleur Sram Rival Black 10 speed
  • 11-Speed Front derailleur (for soldering) Campagnolo Record -2015-
  • Front derailleur Campagnolo Record (11 speed, direct bar end) -Black/Carbon
  • Sram GX 2x11 Low clamp diverter Lower shot
  • front derailleur Campagnolo Chorus (11 vel., direct bar end)-arm-On
  • Diverter SRAM X7 3x9 Low Clamp Dual 31.8/34.9 2015
  • K-Edge clamp chain Ratchet – Road cycling
  • Drop Chain Ratchet Token
  • Anti-fall chain stop for Front road derailleur Token -TK375
  • chain Ratchet with Clamp K-Edge -Cyclo-cross (full suspension)-31.8 mm Black

In CoreBicycle you will find forward changes of brands such as: Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, Wheels Manufacture, BBB, K Edge, Token, Pilo, Giant, M Part, LifeLine, Deda, Massi, Specialized, Brand-X, FSA, RSP, Rotor, Carbon, TISO or AIVEE among others Many leading brands, making front derailleurs.

How to assemble and adjust a front derailleur?

The first thing to check is that the chainrings are not bent and that the teeth of the chainrings are not worn or folded. If this happens the front derailleur will not work well.

To mount the diverter correctly the first thing we have to take into account is the height and the angle:

- Must be between 1mm and 1.5 mm from the highest tooth on the larger chainring. When we have calculated the height of the diverter, we will tighten the clamp screw so that the diverter is fixed at that height.

- Must be completely parallel to the chainrings; Turn the diverter carefully to not move the height of the clamp, on the rotation of the bar of the bicycle frame, until it is completely parallel to the chainrings.

Once tightened, we will be able to tighten the screw of the front derailleur clamp firmly so that it does not move.

Then we will have to adjust the stops of the "low" and "High" diverter:

- Low Stop (low, screw L): Place the small chainring and the large sprocket and turn the screw marked "l" until the inner chainring of the chain is 1mm from the diverter; Very close to the chain, without ever touching.

Then (paying attention that the change lever is in small dish and the cable tug is in an intermediate position we will place the cable of the front derailleur.

- High stop (high, screw h): Place the large chainring and the small sprocket and turn the screw marked "h" until the outer chainring of the chain is 1mm from the diverter, without touching the chain with the diverter but very close.
